Cable WAKEBOARDING is very similar to Boat WAKEBOARDING but rather than riders being pulled by a motorboat, they are pulled by a unique electric-powered cable system. Our cable systems are designed by our industry partner Sesitec who have revolutionized how accessible, affordable and enjoyable wakeboarding and waterskiing can be for any urban and rural community in Canada. A Sesitec cable system give us the ability to tow riders around almost any size body of water in a safe and controlled manner.
A Sesitec cable system makes learning to wakeboard easy and playful. The system operates on the same concept as the common "T-Bar" system used for winter ski lifts, with a few important design alterations. It works by creating an upwards pull which enables effortless starts and has proven to provide an easy learning curve for beginners. With its continuous smooth ride and strong tension, it also allows advanced riders to progress water tricks or improve their rail-riding skills rapidly. Cables are erected 8 - 12 meters above the water's surface and riders are pulled with a variable speed electric motor capable of maintaining speeds up to 40 km/h.
Due to the surface area of a wakeboard it is the easiest version of “waterskiing” to teach at very slow and safe speeds.
When a rider falls they don’t have to deal with retrieving skis, which is a common occurrence behind the boat.
There is virtually unlimited potential for progression. Unless you give up you will find success at Boarder Pass, and be on your way to learning new skills in a hurry.
Our systems can be setup and removed without causing any lasting affects on the natural environment and without leaving any waste. Most importantly, with no boat, there is no risk of oil or fuel contamination to our valued lakes and rivers. The electric drive motor and the cable system also creates almost no noise (55db - less than a human voice).
